Who Is Bryan Schneider

For 36 years, Mankato has been my home, where my wife and I raised our four children. This amazing community shaped our family and instilled in me a deep commitment to give back.

I’ve stayed engaged with our community through volunteering, coaching, serving on the city council in 2022, contributed to long-range regional planning efforts since 1999, served on facility planning for Mankato Area Public Schools and Minnesota State University Mankato, and currently serve on the Mankato Public Safety Advisory Committee.

Professionally, as Assistant Chief Information Officer, and several interim Vice President of Technology and CIO roles at Minnesota State University Mankato, I lead professional engineering teams, work with labor unions, manage complex budgets, manage large projects, reduce costs and expenses, and work collaboratively with many teams to solve problems.

These experiences have shown me the value of listening, thoughtful planning, collaboration, hard work and follow-through. They've inspired me to serve you in a way that helps move our community forward together

Housing Affordability and Availability

Expanding housing choices for all. From low income homes, to more single family homes, multi-family homes, to apartment homes in all price ranges. Mankato needs over 6,500 new homes to meet housing demands.

Many people tell me they want Mankato to be safer and reduce crime.

Stronger communities start with trust. I will foster civic engagement, transparency and ensure every voice is heard and your best interest is considered in the decision-making process for our city.
